浮世絵
浮世絵とは、江戸時代に発達した色彩豊かな日常画のことです。浮世絵の浮世絵の題材は美人や役者、風景画などです。
浮世絵には、肉筆画と木版画の2つの形式があります。肉筆画としては、菱川師宣の「見返り美人図」や、葛飾北斎の「加藤清正公図」などが有名です。ただし肉筆画はとても高価で、一般庶民ではなかなか買うことができない品でした。
木版画とは、絵師が描いた絵を彫って木版で刷り上げた浮世絵のことです。木版をひとつ作れば何百枚も同じ絵を刷ることができるので、浮世絵は一般庶民でも安価に購入できるようになり爆発的に広まりました。
また浮世絵は海外にもわたり、パリの印象派など西洋画家に大きな影響を与えました。
有名な浮世絵師は葛飾北斎、歌川広重、喜多川歌麿、菱川師宣、東洲斎写楽などです。
特に葛飾北斎の富士山を題材にした絵は有名で、2024年から1000円札にも使われ、版画が2023年のオークションでは276万ドルで落札されました。
浮世絵は色んな美術館で見ることが出来、お土産にはがきやTシャツも買うことが出来ます。どうぞ浮世絵を楽しんで下さい。
