京大が融資するのベンチャー企業に世界の注目が集まっている。

紙のように薄いソーラーシートや製品の寿命を伸ばす半導体といったものを開発する企業はディープ・テックと呼ばれるが、そういった企業を京大の作った投資ファンドが支えている。

京大のファンドの投資期間は最長20年で、一般的なファンドの期間の２倍以上になっていて世界を変える可能性のある製品化を手伝う。
