9月4日は日本語の語呂合わせでくしの日で、美容師が道具に感謝する髪供養が名古屋の大須観音で行われた。
境内には使い古した大量のくしやウィッグなどが持ち込まれ、参加者はウイッグが並べられた祭壇に焼香し、手を合わせていた。
参加した人たちは道具への感謝とともに、技術の向上や商売繁盛を願い、最後に清めの塩がウイッグ等にかけられた。
