北海道厚岸町の山林で7月26日、釧路総合振興局と警察が 協力し クマスプレーの使い方などを確認した。
訓練を行った関係者は山に入る際はクマスプレーを取り出しやすい腰などに 身につけ、音を出しながら歩いてほしいと話している。
クマスプレーの射程距離は4メートルほどで、9秒間噴射され、足跡など を見つけたら手に持って注意を払 うことが大事ということだ。
