世阿弥ゆかりの新潟県佐渡市の正法寺で6月21日、“ろうそく能”が上演され、多くの人が幽玄な世界観に酔いしれていた。
ろうそくに灯りがともされ始まった演目は、盗賊の首領の霊が牛若丸に返り討ちにあった無念を語る『熊坂』が披露された。
少子高齢化でこの能は一旦区切りとなるが、世阿弥の心をどう受け継いくのか課題が突きつけられている。
