野球のWBCで決勝がマイアミのローンデポパークで21日夜行われ、日本がアメリカを3対2で破り、3度目の優勝を果たした。
アメリカの強力打線を日本の投手陣がホームラン2本に抑え込み、最後は大谷翔平がチームメイトのトラウト選手を三振に討ち取って勝利の雄叫びをあげた。
