明治時代以来初めて中央省庁の一つの文化庁が27日京都に地方移転した。

新庁舎は３階建の旧京都府警本部本館と、隣に建設された6階建ての新行政棟からなっている。

全職員約５９０人の７割に当たる約３９０人が京都で勤務する予定で、東京に残る部署と連携して施策を行う。
