分子レベルでの解析が可能な世界で初めてのカラー電子顕微鏡を九州産業大学などが共同開発した。
この顕微鏡は、約６０００万円で発売され、レーザー顕微鏡と電子顕微鏡のそれぞれの優れた性能を併せ持ち、誰でも操作することができる。
この顕微鏡によって細胞を分子レベルで観察することができ、がんの超早期発見などに役立てることができ、医療系の研究所での利用が想定されている。
